How big is the visible difference?

The visible difference between 4K and 8K is small for most setups. At a normal couch distance on a 65-inch TV, or arm's length on a typical monitor, your eyes can't resolve 8K's extra pixels, so it looks the same as 4K. The benefit only appears when the screen is very large or you sit unusually close.
